LEADER
LOSES
IN-MOTION CHALLENGE BUT IN THE END COMES OUT A WINNER ANYWAY
We
were just notified that Elbow won the $10,000 grant from
Saskatchewan In Motion. One might feel that we are
"losers" because we didn't win the $10,000, but
Leader and Leader supporters, we came out of this challenge
as "winners"!!!
Voters
in support of Leader, SK did an amazing job keeping Leader
in the race right up to the bitter end. We have to
be happy for that! The whole competition took commitment
from the community and community supporters (and that was
a commitment on a daily basis we might add) and that is
why we are winners. We came together as a team and
did what had to be done to complete the race.
Thank
you to each and everyone of you for your support and congratulations
on a job well done!

Citizen

The
Town of Leader is making some changes to the Citizen of the
Year Award, with one of the changes being the time of year
it is awarded. The award will now be given out at the
annual Volunteer Appreciation evening sponsored by the Town
of Leader Recreation Department each April. Any nominations
received this year will still be considered and a call for
additional nominations will take place before the award is
given out.
