River Ridge Golf Course

Located just north of Leader on Highway 21, River Ridge is one of the finest golf courses in Southwest Saskatchewan - a picturesque, natural prairie setting overlooking the South Saskatchewan river hills.

This link styled course features wide watered fairways, lots of sand traps and excellent grass greens. Eighteen tee boxes and nine large greens make it a unique, friendly, but challenging course.

Amenities include a licensed club with a covered deck overlooking the river hills, and a pro shop that includes club and cart rentals. For tee times or information, call (306) 628-3256.

Leader Swimming Pool

Leader Swimming Pool

The Leader Swimming Pool was built by the Leader Lions Club in the early 1960s, and in the 1990s underwent some major upgrades.  Construction of a new swimming pool was completed in the summer of 2011.

Our seasonal outdoor pool is heated and supervised. The Swimming Pool offers several sets of Red Cross Swimming Lessons, Adult Swim, Teen Swim and Lane Swim.

The Leader Swimming Pool is located beside the Leader Lions Park & Campground at 119 Main Street East. For more information on swim times or lessons, call the Recreation Office at (306) 628-3860 .

Leader Lions Park

The Leader Lions Park is sheltered by trees and shrubs and blanketed with lush green grass. A state of the art playground structure occupies one end of the park while the other end is perfect for an evening football game or a family picnic.

Lions Park is maintained by the Town of Leader and is located on Main Street East. Its neighbours include the Leader Lions Swimming Pool & Campground.

Leader Ball Park

Leader Expos, Leader’s Senior Baseball team, host all of their home games at the Leader Ball Park. The Leader Minor Ball Club also calls this ball park home and consists of teams for all ages.

The Leader Ball Park boasts four ball diamonds, grandstands, a concession, beer gardens, and serviced camp sites for visiting teams.

The Leader Ball Park is located on the northwest side of Leader along the North Road Allowance. For bookings, call the Recreation Office at (306) 628-3860.

Leader Arena

Leader’s senior hockey team, the Leader Flyers, the Leader Minor Hockey Club and the Leader Skating Club all call the Leader Arena home.

The Arena boasts artificial ice, a large seating area and concession booth, and provides family-oriented fun at a low rate.

The Leader Arena is operated by the Leader & District Recreation Board. You'll find it right next to the Curling Rink at 340 - 4th Avenue West, Telephone: (306) 628-3860.

The Leader Curling Rink consists of 3 sheets of artificial ice, a lounge and concession booth. Dressing Rooms and a new entry way were added in the fall of 1999.

The Curling Club offers a Mixed Curling League which provides affordable fun for all ages & skill levels. The Curling Club is also host to numerous fun-filled Bonspiels throughout the winter months.

Leader Community Centre

The Leader Community Centre is operated by the Leader & District Recreation Board and hosts many weddings, dances and other social events

The Community Centre was built in 1983. We are very proud of this modern facility and credit the surrounding area with keeping it a busy place year round.

Leader Friendship Centre

The Leader Friendship Centre is a social gathering place for retired citizens of Leader and the surrounding area.

The Leader Friendship Centre hosts an exercise class every Tuesday and Thursday and any night of the week you can find a partner for cards, bingo, pool and shuffle board.
